Counting Down to Friday!

Counting down to Friday night when my daughter, son-in-law, grandson, and granddaughter arrive! I’m so excited. There are so many things to prepare and do before they arrive. Today I put up the tree while hubby was at work. He will hang the lights later this week and we’ll decorate after the kids are here.

I bought this artificial tree 12 or so years ago for $79. Still in great shape!

I bought this artificial tree 15 years ago for $79. Still in great shape!

When the kids were young we’d go to the tree farm and cut our own. One year about 15 years ago we were unable to get out to the farm  and I found this impressive bad boy for $79. Let’s just say we’ve got our monies worth!

Do you put up a Christmas tree? Real or artificial?

P.S. Can help my sister? Any little gift will help!

P.P.S. Ladies, I’m still taking names for my Profile of  a Female Motorcyclist series. Let me know if you are interested!

P.P.P.S. Here it is with lights!

  1. Yes, artificial one these days. Real trees are shipped a long way up and usually don’t last very long. Local trees are pretty scraggly and lose their needles within a very short time.

  2. What a gorgeous tree! We usually do real ones, but this year we have my Mom’s artificial tree and are putting it up again in her honour. Putting her ornaments on her tree helps me remember her and keeps her close.

    Have a wonderful season.

  3. Boy are you going to be busy. Enjoy!!

  4. Pam:

It’s great to have something to look forward to. You are fortunate to have quality family time during the Holidays. Enjoy your grandchildren while you can and make lots of memories

Unfortunately we don’t put up a tree but we do have artificial ones packed away somewhere

  5. Real trees … always 🙂
Either way, though, isn’t it always about the lights? There’s nothing like sitting in a dark room with the tree lights shining. So peaceful!!
