The leaves are dropping quickly and so are the temperatures. Looking forward to autumn fires.
Autumn Fires
by Robert Louis Stevenson
In the other gardens
And all up the vale,
From the autumn bonfires
See the smoke trail!
Pleasant summer over
And all the summer flowers,
The red fire blazes,
The grey smoke towers.
Sing a song of seasons!
Something bright in all!
Flowers in the summer,
Fires in the fall!

Looking a little bare those trees. Winter is on its way.
It is harder this year because I’ve so enjoyed riding with hubby this year!
It looks like you’re getting into the stick tree season as well. Once you get a little snow things will look a lot brighter.
Very true. I do enjoy snow, but blizzards though! LOL
Those trees are pretty bare alright.
Our leaves have been dropping but without their usual show of color. It seems they are dropping as they turn. Very disappointed. As we wait for those colors the trees are getting bare. Must be the weather.
I do enjoy the cooler weather for the hot coffee, warm fires, and hot soup season.
Our dry weather has been the cause behind the early browning and leaf loss. I do enjoy hot coffee, warm fires (outdoors for us) and hot soup too!
From the perspective of one who lives in dense suburbia, your backyard is awfully attractive. Lovely nature.
Thank you! We lived in the city for years and now enjoy the open space with lots of trees.
