Profile of a Female Motorcyclist: Meet Chris

Ladies, keep your profiles coming in! I’ll post each and everyone of them. Seems like there is a bit of a demand to learn about us so let’s feed the need!

Now without further ado, I’d like to introduce you to our next female motorcyclist, Chris. She has a son getting married this week and still took the time to send over her answers with some photos! You Rock Chris!!

Chris, her hubby, and some riding friends!

How long have you been riding a motorcycle? 10 + years

How did you learn to ride? Motorcycle safety course. Officially that is 🙂

What was your first motorcycle? Yamaha Virago, which I referred to as “the Viagra bike.”

How many have you owned? 3

Why did you want to ride a motorcycle? It just seemed natural. My husband had a bike and I thought “I can do that!”  None of the other wives rode.

Tell us about your riding. Commute and pleasure. I would LOVE to take a racing class. I ride a Harley. I think it would be fun to try a sport bike.

What advice do you have for women who ride or want to ride a motorcycle? Go for it and don’t listen to other peoples opinions.

What is the longest trip that you’ve taken on your cycle? I have been in many trips. One of the longest, we circled Lake Superior.

Do you belong to any motorcycle groups? I belong to HOG, both national and local. We are very active in our local chapter.

Do you have a favorite riding story? Too many to pick a favorite. I could come up with several 🙂 One thing I do is plan a “Biker Chick Weekend”  every year.  We take off on a Thursday or Friday and usually put on over 1000 miles over the weekend. We started with just 3 of us and now have about  7 going this year so far.

What do you do when you’re not riding? I am a registered nurse. I work in Cardiology.

  1. Hello Chris – good to meet you.

It is nice to see all the lady riders out there.

Oh – and you look too young to have a son getting married this weekend – just sayin’.
